Im trying to run BOTW but whenever i download the DLC and Update from Wii U downloader, it doesnt give me the meta.xml file. I'm using a mac but im pretty sure that doesnt make a difference. I've extracted both files and just get a bunch of files, none with 'meta.xml'. The only meta file i got was from the actual game itself.

I actually completely disagree. Cemu's build-in video decoder is kinda unreliable, that alone makes Cemuhook a must-have in my opinion. There is really no reason not to have Cemuhook installed anyway. It won't break anything, and it won't slow down performance.
The BOTW game ROM is fundamentally structured for performance and storage use on a family console, without any support for modification. As such, files like the resource size table or TitleBG.pack will almost inevitably begin to clash once you have more than a mod or two.please post a logfile. If the game speed slows down (not FPS), you can try setting the Dynamic Gamespeed pack from FPS++ to 8 frames averaged. That sometimes prevents those from occuring. If you always leave the mlc at default it's always in your cemu folder and can't get lost. Find your old mlc folder and reset it's path in cemu or copy it into your cemu folder. Changing 2 bytes in a text file does not work. It bypasses the update check but the game will never work unless it has a true update. 2.
